35mm Microfilm Duplication

Extek Microfilm Silver Duplicator

B A Micrographics can produce duplicate copies from your original master 35mm microfilm using diazo or silver halide copy film.

35mm microfilm copies should be made, commonly known as the 'working copy', and are used for viewing and printing instead of the original microfilm.
After the duplicates are made, the original microfilm should be stored securely in a fireproof safe, or an off site location to protect them from loss or damage.

The diazo duplicating material will produce an exact copy of your original 35mm film, the diazo image can be either blue or black in appearance.
The diazo material is more durable than the original silver halide / gelatin microfilm, and is for short term storage as it has a much shorter quoted life.
If the diazo duplicate roll does get damaged, you will have the master microfilm safely stored to produce a new working copy from.

Silver Halide duplicating microfilm is used for producing copies for long term, or archival storage.
Original 35mm microfilm rolls are usually negative format, but silver copies can be negative or positive.

No matter how large, small or complex your microfilm project is,

B A Micrographics have the experience and expertise to complete the work to the agreed specification and standard.
